Frequently Asked Questions.

Location Questions:

Where are you located?

Our studio is located in Fullerton, California, right in the popular downtown area. This specific location is sent to you via email once you have booked and started planning your experience. If you are looking to book the Rain Room set, this specific studio location is located in Los Angeles, California so if you have any questions regarding this option, please reach out to us. We also offer select locations for outdoor photo shoots on a limited yearly basis if you are interested in shooting outside of the studio. Otherwise, the majority of our clients are always shooting in our private studio in Downtown Fullerton.

Where do I park?

For our Downtown Fullerton private studio, there is street parking at the front of the building and across the street, as well as a small parking lot for the building in the back alley way.

Is parking free?

For our main location in Downtown Fullerton, all parking is free. If you are booking the Rain Room in LA, there is free street parking as well but if the street fills up, you may need to pay for parking in a lot near the studio location.

Investment Questions:

What is the cost?

Your investment varies depending on which boudoir experience you choose to embark on. For more details on the different boudoir experiences you have to choose from, click here, or view the investment page on my website.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, only pre-photo shoot payment plans are offered. Meaning that all payments will be paid off before your photo shoot experience happens. We no longer offer post-photo shoot payment plans. This is to ensure that you are able to receive your images as quickly as possible after your photo shoot experience, so that the delivery of your images doesn’t get delayed.

What if I want to purchase more images than I originally intended?

This has happened with several of our clients who come in for their experience, everything paid for, they see their images at the end of the day and they decide they want more than they already purchased! In this case, you are always welcome to upgrade, however, any additional prints you do add at the moment of your viewing, will need to be paid for in full at that time.

Do couples boudoir photo shoots cost more?

Typically, no. Couples experiences cost the exact same as a solo experience. However, the initial experience only includes professional hair and makeup for one partner. So the only additional fee that would be added on would be $250 for the second partner to get professional hair and makeup done as well, if desired. This must be decided upon at the moment of booking.

If I don’t want professional hair and makeup, can I get a discount?

This is a step you DON’T want to skip, nor do we allow you to skip. Our hair and makeup service is included in our experience fee and cannot be revoked. Our hair and makeup artists are professionals who have been in the industry for many years, so they have worked with all kinds of clients from different skin tones, hair textures, and all the things! Trust in us when we say that professional hair and makeup is one of the most empowering parts of your transformation, and it will make you FEEL like a million bucks! Getting pampered just before your photos are taken is part of the fun of your experience and gives you some time to unwind with our girls and get comfortable in the studio. Proper makeup application and hair styling also saves us oodles of time during retouching, because you will already look flawless.

What form of payment do you accept?

When paying in full, we accept payment via Zelle, Credit/Debit Card, Cash or Check.

When on a payment plan, we only accept Credit/Debit Card payments which your information is safely stored on our online processor so that payments are set up automatically.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

For cancellations, there are no refunds under any circumstances. If you are needing to reschedule your shoot date, you will have one opportunity to do so at no extra charge, given that you reschedule at least 8 weeks before your original shoot date. Otherwise, rescheduling any time after that 8 week mark, will cost you an additional non-refundable fee of 800. If you try to reschedule less than 2 weeks before your shoot date, or if you show up to your shoot later than 15 minutes late, you will be charged another non-refundable 800 in order to reschedule your experience.

Timing Questions:

When should I book my photo shoot?

When selecting a date to book, this all depends on two things:

a) When/If you have a deadline of when you want your photos in hand (ie. wedding day, anniversary, birthday, holiday, etc.) In this case, I always recommend at least 6-10 weeks in advance of the date you need your images for. For instance, if you are getting married in June, I would recommend coming in no later than April for your experience!

HOWEVER, it also depends on:

b) Your chosen path of payment. If you pay in full up front, there will normally be no issues and you can book your experience for the soonest date we have available. If you choose to do a payment plan, however, please keep in mind that all fees must be paid off before the day of your experience. The lengthiest payment plan we allow is 6 months, so for instance, if you reach out to book in January, your experience will not take place until June or July when you do a 6 month payment plan.

Please keep in mind that depending on the season, our calendar does fill up fast, so I always tell people to grab a date as soon as they can, so they don’t miss out on any deadlines. We can rush orders at an additional cost for clients who find themselves in a bind, but we’d rather plan in advance so your experience is stress free!

How long should I expect to be at the studio on the day of my experience?

The length of the day of your experience depends on which experience you are purchasing. Rule of thumb is for you to prepare to clear your entire day for this experience, regardless of which level you chose.

To break it down, hair and makeup takes up to two hours, then depending on the length of the shoot you chose, it can last 45 minutes to 120 minutes, taking into account brief breaks as you change your wardrobe. You will then leave the studio to grab lunch for about an hour, come back, and view your images that we just took! This part of the process varies from client to client but can take anywhere from an hour to two hours to choose the images you want for your printed products. So in all, your experience can last up to 6 hours in total. We will normally start at 10 AM, and ideally be done between 4 PM-5 PM. Please do the best you can to plan ahead and clear your entire day without any important appointments to have to rush to afterwards.

How long will it take for me to see my photos for the first time?

As of October 2024, all clients will be able to see their images on the day of their photo shoot experience, since BBP is now transitioning to same-day viewings. The images you will see and choose from will be edited to BBP editing style, and the ones you officially decide on, will later be fully retouched. So during this time, your images will still show any temporary blemishes that Megs will later edit out of the photos you purchase before sending to print.

How long will it take to receive my photos?

After you choose your most desired images that you want printed, your photographer will then fully retouch each image to perfection, and submit your photo products to print. This entire process will take roughly 4-6 weeks for you to receive your photo products in hand, from the date of your experience.

How do I receive my printed photos?

For all of our local clients, Megs will reach out to you to schedule a date to meet back up at the studio for you to pick up your heirloom products. For those who are out-of-towners, your heirloom products will be mailed to you, and Megs will keep you updated with that process as well.

Privacy Questions:

Are you going to share my images with the public?

Sharing of images to the public is completely up to you. We do not require you to let us share your images on any public forum unless you feel comfortable doing so. If you are comfortable with us sharing your images, you are then required to sign a non-revocable model release form. But unless we have your written permission your images will forever remain private from any public forum. If at any time, however, you change your mind and would like to allow us to share, let us know and we will be happy to cater to your request.

Who will be at the studio during my photo shoot experience?

During your experience, the only people who will be in attendance is your photographer, and your professional hair and makeup artist which is normally just one female artist but can sometimes consist of two female artists. Depending on the makeup artists schedule on the day of your shoot, she may periodically check in or stick around for a few to help with any hair and makeup malfunctions.

Will there be any men at the studio during my shoot?

Absolutely not. The only time there will be a man their is if this man is your significant other and you are doing a couples session. Otherwise, there will be no men at your session, it is just us ladies having a nice ladies day out! Our business is strictly women owned and operated.

Is there a second photographer?

No, the only photographer of BBP is Megs. The only time a second photographer is in attendance is if it is for our exclusive boudie marathons where the second photographer is hired to do videography and behind the scenes content, whilst Megs is still the only one photographing.

Can I bring a friend?

In theory this sounds like it would be fun, but we find that sometimes when there is an audience, our clients hold back. We really want you to let loose, have fun, and enjoy this time and not worry about entertaining your guest. I promise you that our team is the best around and you will feel so comfortable in our space! The only time we allow a friend to tag along is if she is getting a session done as well and you have planned this together, and the photographer has agreed to do so.

Prepping/What to Expect Questions:

I am not a model. Do you instruct posing and will I still look good?

First and foremost, be rest assured that none of our clients are professional models. Megs coaches you throughout the entire process of posing and facial expressions (plus we like to capture your candid smile, laughter, and other expressions as well). She will even get into the poses with you since a lot of our clients are visual learners. There is no need to be concerned about not having modeling experience, or never being in front of the camera in general. Have trust in the process and know that you are in good hands and our number one goal is make sure you look and feel your very best.

How do I prepare?

We are going to send you a detailed prep guide immediately after booking or your 1:1 call with Megs. This will go over all the details. the Megs will be providing you with during your call as well.

For a quick overview though; Mani's Pedi's are a small detail that unfortunately most forget! You will need to come to the studio with a clean face and clean, dry hair. Try your best to make a habit of taking care of your skin during the few weeks leading up to your shoot date to prevent any breakouts. Refrain from drinking alcohol and get lots of sleep the night before, and drink lots of water. This will reduce dark circles/puffy eyes and reduce bloating. Make sure you eat a healthy breakfast beforehand so you have lots of energy to play with us, even though we will have some of your favorite snacks waiting for you upon request!

Of course, there will be other suggestions listed in the detailed guide we will email you. Don't stress, this is going to be an absolute BLAST!

Should I go tanning before?

Tanning is a bit of a touchy situation. First off, if you have never gotten a spray tan or used a tanning bed before, please do not let this be your first attempt in doing so. For those who do go tanning on a regular basis, you can do as you wish, however we recommend for spray tans that you get it done no less than 1 week beforehand unless you go to our most trustworthy spray tanner across the hall from our studio, Sugar Mama Skin Den, you can use her services up to the day before. However, we discourage the use of tanning beds 2-3 weeks prior to your session because it doesn't photograph as well and we must be cautious when it comes to the use of white clothing or white lingerie from the client closet due to staining.

What if I am on my period on the day of my photo shoot?

Your menstrual cycle is usually taken into consideration when choosing your shoot date so that we can avoid it completely without the added on stress. However, if this is unavoidable due to time constraints of the timeline in which you need your experience done by, then it can simply be dealt with by using your own tampons or menstrual cups, however we cannot control any bloating that may occur, other than recommending to drink lots of water and to refrain from alcohol and salty foods for the 24 hours leading up to your photo shoot. Tampons are provided in our communal restroom, however, if tampons are not an option and you typically only wear pads, please be sure that your shoot date is not during your period.

Do I need to bring anything to my photo shoot?

Most clients show up to their session with nothing but their beautiful selves, and 1 nude thong and 1 black thong which is required for you to wear any items from the client closet. That is it! You wear these under our Client Wardrobe for an added layer of protection. However, we do have pantyliner’s that we can use if you happen to forget them, so no need to worry.

Most clients go barefoot throughout their entire shoot, so we do not provide shoes or high heels so if you are wanting to incorporate a pair of your own from home, feel free to bring them!

It is not mandatory to bring anything else, however, if you are wanting to show off more of your personality in your images and you have a sentimental item or specific prop you’d like to use from home, please bring it. Also, if there is a specific style we speak about that is part of your vision that we do not provide, you will have to bring that as well (ex. heels, jeans, significant others t-shirt/jersey). We otherwise have all the necessities; lingerie, jewelry, silk sheets, fur rugs, all the things.

Do you provide clothing options?

We provide a curated client closet that has a variety of colors, sizes, an styles that fit everyone’s taste and are flattering for all body types. You will have the time before your photo shoot date to look at the items we have and choose which ones you wish to wear. If by chance, you don’t find enough that is already in our closet, we will purchase more of the style, size, and color of your choosing so that you can wear it for your shoot and future clients can have the chance to wear it as well for their shoot.

How do you go about choosing clothing for each client?

We choose what you wear for your photo shoot based on your dream vision for your boudoir experience. You will have the chance to look through our closet and try things on if you desire and as we plan your shoot, we will be sure to choose items that make you look most flattering and feel as comfortable as you can (yet, please note that if you are new to wearing lingerie, not all of it is comfortable like wearing yoga pants or sweats. haha.)

Do you have any general wardrobe recommendations?

This is something Megs goes over with you during your 1:1 prepping call, so that you have the time to decide after consulting with Megs on what we recommend for you personally, and you can feel free to purchase any clothing items you may like if you are wanting to keep them for home. However, this is not necessary considering we provide plenty of options from our Client Closet, but our client closet items are not for purchase so if you see something while shopping that you’d like for home and for your shoot, feel free to purchase it and bring it in the day of your shoot! In this case, we’d like to give you a quick note; we like to keep it simple. Too much pattern or multiple colors takes away from the main subject of the images; YOU and your beauty! Of course, we are always up for something new! We will never push you beyond your boundaries and you can always be sure that we will do our best to dress you in clothing that is most flattering to accentuate all of your beauty and curves!

For couples, do you offer men’s clothing?

Unfortunately, we do not obtain men’s clothing in our client closet. This is mainly because men have a more simple wardrobe and typically just wear their own underwear while being photographed. We recommend bringing a pair of white, black, and maybe even a grey pair as well. However, depending on your vision for your couples shoot, he may bring jeans and a shirt or even a suit to wear depending on the vibes you guys are going for!

Prints and Digital Images Questions:

Do I have to order prints through you?

Yes. I do not offer print releases under any circumstances. When purchasing digital files, these digital images are low-resolution that are more for social media sharing or keeping on your home computer device(s) that will be downloadable for you on a private website gallery. The digital files given are in no way permitted for you to print on your own, which is stated in our signed contract.

Do you edit all of the images?

Professional Editing and Retouching is included in our image pricing, however, we do not do heavy editing. You are going to be amazed at how great you look with our “less is more” approach. All of the final purchased images will receive the custom BBP edits that make our images POP! We edit out temporary blemishes like pimples, bruises, scratches, etc., and we smooth out your skin very lightly.

Can you edit out my top insecurities and make me look different than I do in real life?

As stated above, we have a “less is more” approach to our editing techniques because we want our clients to view their images and see their true selves, not a morphed, unrecognizable version of themselves. Boudoir photography is meant to empower women by showing them how truly beautiful they are in the body they’re in, not to pick them apart and edit them to the point of overkill. You are beautiful just the way you are, no matter your age or size and we want to emphasize your natural beauty. Posing is key, as is communication. We all have our self perceived flaws, so let's work together to help you look and feel your best!

Do you deliver Raw or Unedited photos?

No. I do not deliver raw or unedited files, not unless I am contacted about being a second photographer for another company and we have a signed contract stating that. However, this is merely never the case.

I don’t think I want prints. Can I just get the digital images?

This is most definitely an option, however, it is not the most cost-efficient way. Digitals are up for purchase individually, or can be added on at a discounted price when you purchase a collection. The corresponding digitals are also offered complimentary when you purchase a collection.

Do I own copyright to the images once they are delivered to me?

No, copyright is owned by the photographer. The Digital images that I provide are for personal use only, for things such as social media sharing or keeping to yourself privately. Personal use means that you cannot make money off of images (no sharing/selling on Only Fans or other similar sites) and only you the client can post your images that you purchased within that collection.

What if I want to sell my images on Only Fans or other similar sites that sell content?

If this is something you intend to do, you will have to sign a specific contract and pay an additional fee per image that you intend to sell. Please let Megs know in advance if this is something you intend to do, and we can come up with your legal agreement.

Communication Questions:

How do you prefer to communicate?

Communication is key, especially when we are planning such an intimate experience for you. We will have our initial 1:1 call to plan everything out, but whenever you have a specific question, you are always welcome to DM me via Instagram (not Facebook), or text me at 714-853-0715, just be sure to tell me your name in your initial text so that I know it is you. You are more than welcome to email me at info@bombshellbeautyportraiture.com, however, please note that emails can get lost, so Instagram DMs and text messages will be the quickest way for me to respond to you.

Is there a prepping phone call to start planning my photo shoot?

Yes. A private 1:1 call is included and mandatory when you book your experience with us. During this call, you will speak with your boudoir photographer, Megs, who will go over all of the details of what to expect, plan out your dream vision for your photo shoot, and will ask you personal questions so that we can ensure your comfort-ability, boundaries, insecurities, and all things necessary so that your experience with us can be as enjoyable for you as possible.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Megs at 714-853-0715. Please be sure to introduce yourself in your initial message so that Megs can respond to you properly. Thank you!
